The Role

As the Demand Planning Manager ANZ you will be based at our Erskine Park head office and work as part of the Procurement, Planning and Inbound Supply Chain team. You will be responsible for leading and managing all demand forecasting activities throughout Australia & New Zealand, supporting customer service, order fulfilment, and inventory objectives.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership, mentoring and professional development to one Demand Planner.
  • Leading the Sales & Operations Planning process (S&OP) for the ANZ region.
  • Driving alignment with cross functional partners including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, IT, and Finance to achieve best class forecast accuracy and optimised inventory management.
  • Analysing current supply chain and sales forecasts as well as demand changes to adjust Demand Planning and ensure adequate inventory and supply of products.
  • System accountability for the ANZ Demand Planning system (E3).
  • Monitoring and reporting of inventory levels and supplier performance.
  • Collaborating with Category Managers to identify opportunities to improve supply and reduce working capital.
  • Accountability for inventory classification and ongoing maintenance.
  • Recommending and implementation of corrective actions in consultation with relevant business stakeholders.

About You

To be successful you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce, Supply Chain Operations, Marketing or Science combined with at least three years experience in a senior Demand Planning role.
  • Demonstrated industry experience within either wholesale, retail, FMCG or pharmaceuticals.  Human or animal health industry experience will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstratable experience managing Demand Planning of seasonal and / or short shelf-life products.
  • Experience in using data analytics and statistics for forecasting, decision making, and insights.
  • People management experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience working with E3 / SAP / Oracle Demand Planning or other Demand Planning platforms.
  • Strong business acumen and an understanding of the inter-relationships between different business functions.
