The Role: We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Demi Chef to cover our busy banquet operation at Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily high quality and consistent production preparation for our busy functions rooms. Key responsibilities and tasks consist of, but are not limited to: Perform food Production & Preparation for Banquets Operations: Preparing, cooking, and plating outlet or banquet menu items according to established recipes cards and Stamford standards Organise and operate a section of kitchen and ensure it runs efficiently and productively Assist the Executive Chef and Senior Chefs to lead, train and inspire the kitchen brigade effectively to ensure a well organised and motivated team Ensure the consistent delivery of quality, well-presented food to our guest Versatile, be able to work in different area of productions and ensure high quality customer service standards Strong experience in banquets is essential Demonstrate a working understanding of food, hygiene and safety principles, ensuring compliance at all times Conducting spot checks and recommended actions for the HACCP & Hygiene requirements across all Kitchens The successful candidate must have: Completed Commercial Cookery Certificate 4 or equivalent Experience as Banquet Chef is essential Excellent communication skills A positive 'Can do" attitude, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn The flexibility to work in early shifts, including during the weekends A solid understanding of WHS Procedures, food safety standards and HACCP About the Benefits: Great employee discount on food & beverage at all Stamford Hotels & Resorts Free duty meals Free parking Learning and development opportunities How to Apply: Please click the apply button to submit your application with your resume and cover letter.
