You will have the opportunity to work within the Kitchen department which consists of approximately 60 colleagues overall (10 colleagues within the Pastry Kitchen). This is an exciting opportunity for you to grow your hotel skill set in order to build a career with-in the Langham, shall you be determined and dedicated.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Assures their preparation for the section is prepared and completed to a five star standard
- Complete assigned duties across all workstations within the Pastry Kitchen
- Advise the Senior Chef on duty of inventory items needed for operational needs as required
- Actively promote and participate in teamwork and positive communication with the kitchen and other departments.
- Responsible for the hygienic and safe preparation of food within the kitchen and the Food Safety Program.
Skills and experience:
- Experience within a five star pastry kitchen
- The ability to work well in a team
- Thrives in a busy, fast paced environment
- Proven organisational & time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Quality awareness
- The ability to work rotating shifts across 7 days
