AddressDue to expansion, an opportunity has opened up for a Casual Dental Assistant for our modern busy dental practice. This position may also extend to a permanent full or part-time time role in the future if required.
The applicant should have a caring, friendly and compassionate nature, be well presented and have a strong work ethic. Own transportation is essential.
Previous experience is required and you must hold or be studying towards completing your Certificate III in Dental Assisting. Commitment to training and taking direction is required.
We are looking for a motivated, passionate individual, with a flexible approach and a positive attitude to fit in with the practice team.
Your Skills and Attributes
Above all, you are friendly, enthusiastic, dedicated, and able to build rapport easily with our patients. In addition to this, you will have:
- Experience as a Dental Assistant ideally in all areas; chair-side, sterilisation, and reception
- Strong compliance with sterilisation, safety and infection control measures
- Delivery of safe empathetic patient care at all times and a collaborative team player
- A proven track record of punctuality, attendance and reliability in previous employment roles.
Responsibilities:
- Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures, ensuring a seamless and comfortable patient experience
- Utilize your experience in operating state-of-the-art dental equipment for optimal patient care
- Assist with sterilization and maintenance of instruments and treatment rooms
- Work collaboratively with the dental team to deliver high-quality patient care
- Administrative Tasks and Surgery room cleaning
Requirements:
- Well presented with a professional polished appearance
- Reliable and punctual
- Previous dental assisting experience is highly preferred
- Familiarity with Exact Dental software is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control
- Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the practice
- Full-time or part-time availability
