About Department
The Dental Service operates from a modern purpose built clinic at the Sale Campus. The team consists of Dentists, Oral Health Therapists, Dental Assistants, a Prosthetist and Administrative officers. Public dental services are provided for all age groups, from pre-schoolers, school-aged children, youth and adults.
Duties
- Provide clinical chair-side assistance within the dental scope of practice
- Prepare clients for examination and treatment by the dentist
- Assist the dentist including the passing of instruments, mixing materials, maintaining a high standard of moisture control during treatment
- Maintain a high level of appropriate infection control
- Participate in stock control
About You
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or 2 years plus experience
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work under pressure
