What you'll be doing
The Dental Assistant Supervisor will have responsibility for administrative tasks associated with clinical operations as well as the day to day supervision of Dental Assistants within allocated site/s. The incumbent will also undertake a full range of dental assisting duties as required.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

Selection Criteria * Working towards or successful completion of a nationally recognised Dental Assisting Certificate course at Certificate Level IV
- Experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resource principles.
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and management.
- Demonstrated high-level knowledge of staff rostering and procurement services.
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- High-level computer skills.
- Current NSW Drivers licence Class C and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving relatively long distances within the Local Health District.
