What you'll be doing
The Network Senior Dental Assistant provides leadership and oversight in supporting all clinical operations within the network.
The role is responsible for coordinating and undertaking a range of administrative and clinical tasks to facilitate the efficient and effective running of oral health services across the network. Working collaboratively with the Senior Dental Officer, Service Manager, Senior Administrative Assistant, Quality Manager and Clinical Director to ensure operations comply with the highest standards of safety and quality patient care

- Nationally recognised Dental Assisting qualification - Certificate IV in Dental Assisting. Applicants who are currently enrolled in Certificate IV Dental Assisting would be considered (with evidence of enrolment including current transcripts), a temporary contact would apply for up to 12 months, with permanent placement pending graduation.
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice in providing advanced level of dental assisting skills across general and specialised Oral Health Practitioner disciplines, including more challenging & complex patient care.
- A demonstrated understanding of current Dental Infection Control Procedures and Standards.
- Capacity to work as part of the senior network leadership group, with the ability to manage change, meet task timelines and performance objectives as directed by senior management.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with a variety of key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, counsel and manage staff, including annual reporting, performance management, mentor and develop team members.
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking a range of administrative tasks associated with oral health clinical operations, including staff rostering and procurement services and demonstrated computer skills.
- Current valid and unrestricted Australian State or Territory drivers' licence, and willingness to travel and work in various locations within the network.
