Tell me more...Provide a high standard of dental assisting skills and practice, both clinical and administrative, to dental clinicians in the treatment of clients working in a multi-disciplinary team in a variety of work areas including hospital, community health and school program settings throughout the Torres and Cape Oral Health work unit.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a high level of skill, capability, and knowledge in all aspects of dental assisting, including infection control and clinical support for all relevant age groups.
- Well-developed level of communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate, negotiate and liaise with all level of staff and patients, manage conflict and to deal with sensitive and confidential issues appropriately.
- Experience in working in Indigenous communities and the ability to effectively communicate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Requirements for the role:
- Possession of a Queensland Dental Assistant's Proficiency Certificate III (TAFE) or equivalent is mandatory.
- Travel is a requirement of this position, and you will be required to provide outreach services in oral health facilities at various locations across the Hospital and Health Service where oral health services are provided.
