About the traineeship:
The duties of a DENTAL ASSISTANT include, however are not limited to, assisting a dental operator during procedures and check-ups, preparing and sterilising instruments for dental procedures, preparing, cleaning and maintaining treatment rooms in accordance with infection control procedures, ensuring dental supplies are adequately stocked and providing administrative support.=
Key responsibilities:
All aspects of chair-side dental assistance to dental clinicians
Performing infection control and sterilisation procedures
Delivering exceptional patient care and excellent customer service
Working as part of a growing dental team in a positive environment
Maintaining compliance with organisational policies and procedures
Undertaking general reception duties and administrative tasks to support the service
Preparing treatment rooms as well as cleaning the surgery and treatment rooms
Providing patients/carers with any necessary pre- and post-operative instructions
Troubleshooting and assisting with minor repairs or adjustments of equipment
Assisting with operation and maintenance of digital imaging equipment
Communicating as required with external practices and stakeholders
Listening and responding appropriately to direction

Working with Children’s Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Tripple Vaccinated against COVID19
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent multi-tasking and organisation skills
Openness to using new technology and computer programs
Dedicated to providing exceptional patient care
Positive, friendly and helpful approach
Proven ability to be punctual and reliable
Growth mindset with a willingness to learn and grow with the practice
