Dental Assistant/Receptionist

Our dental practice is seeking a friendly and professional Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and assisting the dental team in delivering quality oral healthcare services to our patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients as they arrive and ensure they feel comfortable and welcome
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, and follow up with patients regarding appointment reminders
• Collect and process patient payments and insurance information
• Assist the dental team with various procedures, including taking X-rays, preparing dental materials, and sterilizing instruments
• Maintain patient records and update electronic health records as needed
• Manage inventory and order supplies as necessary
• Keep the reception area and surgery room clean, organized and stocked
• Other duties as assigned by the practice manager
• Liaising with 3rd parties eg Labatories

Qualifications:

• Cert III in Dental Assisting or experience in a dental field required
• Completion of a dental assisting program preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in basic computer skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, early morning and weekends as needed
• Productivity and initiative

Salary: $23.00 – $30.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Patterson Lakes, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Dental reception: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
