We are seeking a suitably experienced applicant for a Dental Officer, Level 4 position to join our large Oral Health team on the Central Coast of NSW. The successful applicant must be clinically focused and dedicated to working within the public dentistry sector in a full-time capacity.As well, you must demonstrate a high level of knowledge, experience and clinical competency across the full scope of general dentistry.The position is a clinical lead position requiring the successful applicant to possess well-developed team-building and leadership qualities. Additionally, the successful applicant must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, ethics, dynamism, and the ability to exercise independent judgment. The successful applicant will assist the Area Dental Director in managing a group of forty plus dental clinicians.
This position attracts a full clinical load.
The position qualifies for the Dental Officer Rural Incentive Scheme Allowance (up to $20k p.a.) on top of Award Salary.

- Demonstrate the ability to lead and manage a mutlidisciplinary clinical team, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including those in Information and Communication Technology;
- Have a proven track record of developing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of clinical governance systems (including ims+), as well as performing Professional Development Plan analysis and feedback (My conversation) to dental clinicians;
- Demonstrate the ability to identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice, and assist Oral Health Service Executive Team in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on the effective delivery of clinical services;
- Participate in Quality Improvement activities and provide a high level of customer service to all stakeholders including patients, staff and others.
- Act as a mentor to other clinical staff, supervise undergraduate students, assume responsibility for providing clinical mentorship, advice and support to the entire clinical team, and participate in the provision of clinical professional development and in-service education programs for all staff;
- Deliver quality clinical service that require advanced levels of knowledge, experience and clinical expertise across the entire spectrum of general dentistry in difficult clinical situations with complex medical histories, for children and those with physical and mental disabilities.
