What you'll do
The role responsibilities include:
- Providing supervison to team managers and the Project Services team, encompassing coaching, mentoring, and talent development strategies.
- Crafting and implementing a strategic vision that aligns with the organization's goals, incorporating advanced project management methodologies. Develop a robust FY25 and FY26 plan to achieve operational and functional goals
- Working closely with project managers to ensure world-class delivery, integrating Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies as needed.
- Managing the charge in continuous improvement, utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and enhance performance and regularly reviewing Project Services performance using specific metrics and benchmarks.
- Strategically managing resources across various functions, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization along with establishing robust succession plans to maintain a pipeline of talent, engaging with the wider Worley business to find opportunities for our top talent.
- Fostering a collaborative and positive team environment, emphasizing open communication and employee engagement at all levels and also emphasizing a culture of safety and environmental stewardship in all project activities
- Implementing and upholding Worley's systems and procedures for uniform project delivery and direct oversight of Project Controls Managers, ensuring adherence to standardized processes and systems.
- Facilitating accurate services forecasting and reporting, using project management software for enhanced efficiency. Using the data provided to drive strategic business goals
- Playing a strategic role in bid processes and project controls, applying strong commercial acumen
- Participating in Worley Project Reviews to assess and guide project progress and providing in-depth business analysis and reporting to support strategic business goals.
- Understands commercial and legal risks; preparing mitigation plans as applicable.
What you'll have
- Relevant years of experience in project delivery and or corporate management roles
- Experience in managing multi discipline team and teams of 100 personnel
- Excellent managerial, interpersonal, coaching, mentoring skills and project management skills including the ability to plan, set goals and manage time and priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to others and make presentations when required
- Strong stakeholder management skills including the ability to work with other global offices, GID, Project Directors and Customer executives
- High level problem solving and influencing skills and strong commercial acumen including experience in resolving commercial disputes
- Proficiency in a range of MS Office 365 platforms
- Bachelors degree qualified or suitable equivalent at minimum
