- Salary Classification: Radiation Therapist Level 5 Year 1-3
- Remuneration: $2,922.31 to $3,143.84 per week + superannuation + leave loading
- There are
- Assist in the management, including human resource management, of the radiation therapy section of the Department of Radiation Oncology under the direction of the Chief Radiation Therapist, to maintain a workforce that is available and appropriately skilled and resourced to provide the service.
- Demonstrate effective peer leadership skills to ensure radiation therapy services are performed in accordance with legislation and approved policy and procedures.
- Responsible for physical resource management, quality management and research coordination in relation to the Radiation Therapy section of the Department of Radiation Oncology.
- Effectively manage relationships, including use of consultation, negotiation and liaison skills, with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain harmonious relationships.
- Prepare, maintain and analyse statistical data in relation to physical resources, incidents and RT Research and develop and monitor improvement plans.
- Qualified to practise Radiation Therapy, registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and licensed by the NSW Environment Protection Authority to use ionising radiation apparatus and employed as a level 4 (senior) Radiation Therapist or higher.
- Demonstrated effective leadership and management skills, with an established track record of collaboratively, respectfully and transparently leading in a complex, multidisciplinary environment.
- High level communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex issues to all levels of staff, and experience in managing change in a dynamic environment, as well as demonstrated ability to create and maintain a harmonious workplace.
- Demonstrated experience working constructively with clinical staff in complex health care settings, as both a member and a leader of a multidisciplinary team, with the ability to effectively motivate and develop staff in a multidisciplinary environment.
