The Role: We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with leadership skills to join Southern Cross Care NSW/ACT as Deputy Residential Manager also known as the Deputy Facility Manager position.
This is a maternity leave contract role for a 12 month period starting approx early March 2024. The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing direct care, support and guidance to residents in accordance with best practice. You will lead the care for the residents in a manner consistent with quality and respect whilst providing mentoring to the care team.

This position is required to liaise and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external to ensure effective and efficient workflow.
This position is required to comply with and contribute to Work Health and Safety policies and procedures. Degree in Nursing/Tertiary qualifications in Aged CareExperience in a relieving leadership/supervisory role
Good interpersonal and written English communication skills
Ability to play an active and positive role as part of our Care Team, providing quality care and support to frail aged people
Sound understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth legislation as it applies to Aged Care Facilities (Desirable)Sound understanding of, and ability to correctly apply, relevant principles of the Fair Work Act (Desirable)Evidence of COVID 19 and Flu Vaccination
