Permanent full-time opportunity Office location – flexible NSW Executive TRP relative to experience, and ranges from $295,511 to $331,665 Our Governance & Legal Group are currently seeking to appoint a Deputy General Counsel – Executive Director to lead and manage the team of legal professionals responsible for providing expert advice, strategic transactional support and dispute services and act as the General Counsel when required. Ensuring the Department and network agencies comply with their obligations and mitigate legal risk, you will also oversee the dispute and issues resolution functions, including civil litigation and civil and criminal enforcement. The Governance and Legal Group, led by a positive and proactive General Counsel – Deputy Secretary Governance and Legal, delivers pragmatic advice and solutions. About You You are an experienced and collaborative senior leader who thrives in a complex and challenging work environment, bringing your legal expertise and sound decision-making skills to provide advice, implement innovative solutions and mitigate risks. You have demonstrated experience in a relevant senior leadership role and will have the ability to successfully lead and develop a dynamic, fast-paced legal team. Key knowledge and experience Extensive relevant legal advisory leadership. Executive management experience. Property, commercial and / or administrative law, and / or litigation experience, all preferred. Essential requirements Degree in law and qualifications for admission as a solicitor or barrister in the Supreme Court of NSW.
