The Governance and Legal Group, led by a positive and proactive General Counsel - Deputy Secretary Governance and Legal, delivers pragmatic advice and solutions. We pride ourselves on our agile approach and in getting the best outcomes for our department and ministers, the NSW Government and the people of New South Wales. We provide guidance to the department and its network entities to provide tailored legal solutions to ensure we're delivering on our priorities.
About You
You are an experienced and collaborative senior leader who thrives in a complex and challenging work environment, bringing your legal expertise and sound decision-making skills to provide advice, implement innovative solutions and mitigate risks. You have demonstrated experience in a relevant senior leadership role and will have the ability to successfully lead and develop a dynamic, fast-paced legal team.
Key knowledge and experience
- Extensive relevant legal advisory leadership.
- Executive management experience.
- Property, commercial and / or administrative law, and / or litigation experience, all preferred.
- Degree in law and qualifications for admission as a solicitor or barrister in the Supreme Court of NSW.
- Hold, or be eligible for, a NSW practising certificate
