We are seeking an experienced lawyer and people manager to join our specialist team in this leadership role. You will support the Managing Lawyer, Family Law in the day-to-day operational management of the Independent Children's Lawyer team.You will also act as an Independent Children's Lawyer by undertaking complex legal work, providing technical specialist advice and information to parents, children and young people involved in family law proceedings. You will supervise and mentor staff working in the team and undertake Independent Children's Lawyer work across the organisation, and assist in developing, training and mentoring lawyers across the organisation and on practitioner panels. - People management and leadership capabilities with proven experience in developing, managing and motivating a team.
- Thorough knowledge and experience in the practice of family law, with demonstrated expertise in the analysis of facts and evidence
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
- An interest in mentoring less experienced lawyers, building team morale and collaborating with key stakeholders.
