**Applicants must be highly skilled assisting doctors performing skin cancer surgery**
NWS Dermatology is a dermatology practice focussing on skin cancer. We generally field referrals from GPs and tertiary referrals from other specialists for imaging-guided treatment of basal cell skin cancers (BCCs). Since April we now have clinics where referral is not necessary for skin cancer checks and treatment.
Our clinic is unique in that we are able to provide imaging-guided surgical and non-surgical treatment of skin cancer. The imaging is undertaken using a VivoSight optical coherence tomography device (OCT). We also have a clinic in Noosa Heads.
You will be working alongside dermatologists, surgeons, a highly trained skin cancer physician, and highly-trained ADNA registered RNs.
The rooms consist of 2 surgical theatres, a laser/ photodynamic therapy treatment room, 3 consulting rooms and we also have a purpose-built UVB treatment facility.
Much photodynamic therapy is performed in our rooms using innovative techniques which involve intense pulsed light (IPL). Experience in PDT and/or IPL is therefore highly desirable.
