Our Role
The purpose of the Design Coordinator is to both lead and assist in the coordination of all preconstruction activities including but not limited to, all elements of design, cost planning and the building approvals process. We are seeking a motivated Design Coordinator to work in of our team of design specialists and be willing to develop and grow through our company.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Playing a pivotal role in coordinating the design process from the beginning of a project to its completion
- Collaborate closely with your team to produce coordinated construction drawings for tendering and the delivery of projects
- Work seamlessly across organizational structures, partnering with marketing, product and business leadership to develop holistic brand systems
- Using creative and innovative processes to produce clear and cohesive documentation which brings the creative to build form within specific timelines and budgets
- Assist with budget to actual variance explanations for construction projects
- Motivating and inspiring your team whilst assisting in the development and training of the design and construction team
The Requirements:
- Working Rights in Australia
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization and problem-solving skills
- Technical awareness of construction techniques; knowledge of fit outs and construction components.
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry and ability to develop strong relationships with a large range of people and clients
- Understanding of the broad range of varying documentation
- A good work ethic, reliable and able to excel in a team environment
- Proficiency in design software tools and Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
