Public Sector People is seeking a Design Engineer for a 3 month contract. The role will be reporting to the Team Leader Civil Design, you will be responsible for contributing to and designing a diverse range of assets and projects under the capital works program.
Responsibilities include:
- Undertake surveys and feasibility assessments on a range of civil works projects
- Prepare functional and detailed designs for civil capital works projects
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to assist in gaining relevant approvals
- Prepare design briefs, cost estimates, technical advice, engineering solutions, and schedules
- Identify and communicate with key stakeholders regarding anticipated delays or issues with project schedules
- Review all design documentation to ensure accuracy
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar discipline
- Competency in Civil 3D, Civil Site Design, AutoCAD, and office applications
- Experience in a similar role essential
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are essential and previous experience working in a local government will be highly regarded.
