The Role:
We are looking for someone who is wanting to join a company that is at the forefront of it's industry, who's growth will provide you the opportunity to further your career in a rewarding environment.
You will be working within an existing established team and as such will have the support of the team and will provide support and organisation as required.
The focus of this role is to lead a team of engineers, designers and drafters producing technical deliverables in the form of reports, 3D models and design drawings, from briefings, sketches and engineering data to meet Aquatec commercial needs, customer expectations, customer standards, local planning authorities, Australian standards and international standards.
The below will be a part of the day to day in this position:
- Contribute to project schedule to meet agreed timelines.
- Transpose and delegate work as appropriate
- Coordinate and lead the engineering, design and drafting team members.
- Manage project budgets.
- Manage individual expectations and career aspirations through Position Description.
- Develop and maintain design processes, tools and standards that meet customer and industry quality requirements and maximises the efficient re-use of previous design efforts.
- Ensure project documentation complies with client, water authority, local council and Australian standards and specifications.
- Develop 3D models in conjunction with multi- disciplinary team members.
- Facilitate technical calculation to produce compliant and efficient designs.
- Coordinate and review designs and documentation to ensure Aquatec is meeting technical deliverable requirements.
- Organise to prepare detail drawing documentation based on technical standards and utilising advanced knowledge of relevant design and drafting principles.
- Allocate resources to ensure the delivery of project outcomes in accordance with project timelines, baselines etc.
- Undertake project completion reviews to assess performance against baselines, customer needs, quality and provide insights to both the Sales and Estimating teams.
- Oversee and participate in client meetings related to design matters to ensure alignment against timelines and customer requirements
- Develop staff relationships through regular contact during project phases.
- Anticipate staff needs and respond to requests in a timely and professional manner.
What we are looking for:
Higher Education: You will hold a degree in tan appropriate engineering field while also being registered on NER and/or RPEQ (or working towards completion)
Previous Experience: 10+ years of experience within the industry with a design and construct partner or a construction contractor, with a specific focus on the Australian Water Industry. You will also have previous supervision/Management experience and
Technical Knowledge: Technical knowledge of water and wastewater process equipment, pumps, valves, chemical dosing, Odour Control etc.
Precision and Accuracy: Your keen eye for detail ensures that estimates are not only quick but also incredibly accurate.
