What you'd be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Lead and Inspire: Guide and mentor a dynamic production team, providing clear direction and feedback to bring out the best in each member.
- Creative Visionary: Collaborate closely with Craft Leads, Production Ops, and key teams to transform their vision into visually stunning collections that captivate audiences.
- Innovation Driver: Develop and enhance production strategies, finding exciting ways to engage and scale our offerings while optimising the performance of our skilled contingent workforce.
- Concept Fusion Expert: Work closely with Creative Specialists to deeply understand project concepts, objectives, and end users, incorporating tweaks into the production approach for impactful results.
- Strategic Integrator: Collaborate seamlessly with various groups and teams, ensuring the integration of creative and strategic directions in the production workflow.
- Knowledge Cultivator: Lead the maintenance of creative guidelines, ensuring knowledge alignment across content groups, and facilitate easy access to resources for future projects while staying up to date with industry trends.
You're probably a match if
- You have exceptional artistic abilities, a keen eye for detail, colour, composition, and visual storytelling across graphic design, photography, videography and illustration.
- You bring in-depth knowledge of design principles and elements craft, whether it be photos, video, or illustration.
- You're a leader, with an ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- You're adept at handling multiple projects and can work to tight deadlines, all while maintaining a commitment to quality.
- You have a passion for storytelling and understand how high quality production enhances the overall impact and success of a project.
About the team
Canva would not exist without content. Our templates, photos, fonts, stock media and more play a critical and pivotal role in empowering our users to design anything and publish anywhere. Content has far reaching business impact and is a key driver of user acquisition, retention and revenue
The Content Creative team's mission is to build the most valuable content library in the world to inspire our users to create their next design. We work collaboratively across the Content & Discovery group, and other groups to identify & implement opportunities to drive user engagement through content. This group will be focused on developing the world's most inspiring and valuable library of photos, videos, animations, illustrations, graphics, fonts, and more. Working to ensure that our content is Truly Local, the Content Creative sub-group has a global remit to create and acquire the most relevant, high quality content from around the world.
