This role is an exciting opportunity for a Design Manager to join our Architectural Division and assist our experienced architects working on residential and mixed-use projects, from concept design to DA and CC.

We seek an experienced Design Manager with experience delivering multi-storey residential, mixed-use, and industrial buildings to join our growing team in new and exciting projects.

The Role

• Value engineering/management and project management of the whole design process
• Managing relationships with consultants/architects and the performance of external consultants
• Coordinate design activities to ensure the achievement of quality, completion and design budget objectives
• Manage the process of milestone design reviews, including ensuring that client sign-off is achieved and recorded at appropriate stages.
• Managing design in accordance with cost plans and construction programmes and monitor the quality throughout construction process
   

What we're looking for:

• Construction Management Degree or a Degree in Architecture
• 3-5yrs experience as Design Manager
• Experience in REVIT
• Experience working to the Design and Practitioners Act
• Experience using the NSW Planning Portal
• Knowledge of BCA and Australian Standards
• Understanding of NSW planning controls covering exempt and complying development code.
• Coordination skills to meet program milestones
• Technical documentation and coordination skills
• Ability to coordinate and liaise with consultants, local authorities
• A solid technical background, including construction documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation and detailing ability
• Confident in the ability to show initiative and be proactive
• A strong design awareness and attention to fine finishes and detail.
