Located in Altona, they are offering a fantastic opportunity to join their Engineering Team as a Design Release Engineer.

Current requirements have resulted in this opportunity for an experienced and technically astute Design Release Engineer with tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
In this highly autonomous opportunity, the successful applicant will be designing and developing new filters to meet or exceed Ryco and OE specification. This involves working with Ryco technical specifications, releasing drawings and working with product management systems. The role also includes product innovation and research & development activities within the automotive aftermarket and developing some clean sheet designs using cutting edge technology.
Some of the skills and experience that will ensure that you succeed in this role include:
- Proven history of design and product development.
- Experience in SolidWorks skills including 3D modelling an advantage.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, and Coral Draw an advantage.
- A high degree of knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Proven history of project management and a capability of leading problem-solving activities.
- A strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- The ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to respond to an ever-changing business landscape.
Being self-managed, hands on and being able to prioritise activities to completion are important skills to succeed in this role.
The position reports to the Product Design Manager.

Any experience within the automotive or automotive aftermarket industry in an engineering environment is viewed as highly desirable in your application.
