Job Title: Design / Technical Manager
Location: Orange, New South Wales
Salary: Up to $180k (Depending on Experience)

Are you an experienced technical designer with a passion for sustainable building solutions? Do you have a background in structural engineering, façade engineering, or architecture?
Our client, a leading timber manufacturing company based in Orange, New South Wales, specializes in the design and supply of high-quality and innovative timber products which are used to create entire buildings and structures with a focus on sustainability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and technical development of timber-based building components including wall panels, floor cassettes, and roof cassettes.
• Utilize your expertise in Revit to model and detail designs, ensuring high levels of accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are optimized for production efficiency and sustainability.
• Implement and promote Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) principles to streamline the design and building process.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the design team, ensuring all projects meet industry standards and client expectations.

Key Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience as a technical designer in a relevant field such as structural engineering, façade engineering, or architecture.
• Proficiency in Revit and experience with detailed drawing and modeling.
• Strong interest in and understanding of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
