About the role - St Teresa’s is seeking a suitably qualified, passionate, committed and student focused educator with the ability and experience to teach Years 7 – 10 Design Technology, Senior Graphics, and at least one additional Specialist Senior Subject. This is a fulltime permanent position that commences Term 3 2024.

- Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
About you - To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience, as well as:
- Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum and Queensland’s QCE system
- Commitment to child safety
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven organisational skills
- Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
- Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.
- Understanding of Brisbane Catholic Education’s Model of Pedagogy (incl. evidence-based, high yield teaching & learning practices) and Excellent Learning and Teaching Strategy
- Evidence of personal innovation and excellence in teaching and learning; preparedness to contribute to the co- and extra-curricular programs of the College.
At BCE our teachers are required to:
- Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
- Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic.
Yes, for primary and Religious Education teachers. Regarding a pathway to become Catholic, some employees opt to undertake the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). We support all teachers with Accreditation to Teach pathways after you start with us.
