Rapidly growing engineering consultancy seeking a permanent Desktop Technician for their Brisbane office!

Hays has exclusively partnered with a thriving consulting and environmental professional services firm who specialise in delivering outstanding environmental solutions to their diverse array of clients. Having found wicked success globally, they've set their sights on Brisbane and are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Desktop Services Technician to a permanent role in their expanding office.
Your new role
As the 2nd Desktop Tech in their Australian operation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations and infrastructure. From participating in local projects and implementing new technologies, to providing that outstanding level of customer service expected from a senior tech, some of your day-to-day duties will include:
Administration of complex desktop related technologies, both on-premise and cloud-based
Planning and implementing routine system upgrades and refreshes, working closely and collaboratively with the US team
Broad network administration duties
What you'll need to succeed
You will possess a wealth of experience in Desktop Support (4+ years), and be on the hunt for a position that will really allow you to flex your strong sense of initiative alongside your collaboration skills. Your key competencies will include:
Demonstrated working experience in Active Directory, Azure AD, M365 (including OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams), DNS, DHCP, and general network topology
Experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting related hardware systems and software applications, including multi-platform operating systems and third-party applications
Experience imaging computers using SCCM
A Bachelor's degree is preferred, as are industry certifications
A keen eye for detail, and a passion for technology that will drive the business forward
This role requires travel across Australia and locally within SEQ. A valid Australian driver’s licence and satisfactory driving record for business travel is essential.
