AddressWe are working with fast growing SaaS scale up business whose innovative software product has a considerable reach across multiple regions internationally. Their internal software development team has an opportunity to bring on board a Ruby on Rails (RoR) Software Engineer to join a technology team across a number of initiatives within product and commercial space.
This opportunity is a Permanent Full-time role and will be based in Sydney, NSW. You will have ample opportunity to collaborate with cross functional team to design and further enhance modern tools that allows end users to perform at a higher standard and more efficiently.
About the role:
You will be involved in:
- Develop new functionality to deliver high quality engineering work and product releases in line with the commercial objectives of the company.
- Integrate with third-party platforms and services to pull in auxiliary content, services, and data.
- Working within defined project management guidelines and security best practice
- Tackle performance bottlenecks and drive improvements to the backend and frontend infrastructure.
- Contributing technology inputs to product team and roadmap discussions
The ideal candidate:
To be successful, you would have the following:
- Demonstrated experience with full stack development including Ruby on Rails as well as experience in other related JavaScript frameworks will be highly regarded - React.js, Vue.js, Node.js
- Experienced working in Agile teams with a high degree of collaboration, self-starter
- Strong understanding of software development, software architecture, APIs, and microservices
- Experience with build, deployment, and release automation and orchestration in a DevOps environment
- Experience supporting enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure.
