We manufacture and distribute steel reinforcement and associated building products to the construction industry.
We currently have a full time position available for Despatch Clerk reporting to Despatch Coordinator, to join our team at our facility based in Melbourne's western suburb of Derrimut
Key responsibilities:
- Contacting customers to confirm deliveries & delivery dates
- Co-ordinate loads and deliveries and produce load sheets
- Liaise with drivers to ensure smooth flow of deliveries
- Work within our ERP system to raise load sheets and Delivery dockets
You will also at times be required to answer incoming calls relating to despatch functions and perform some administrative tasks in the office
The role is required so as to assist others performing similar tasks as our business continues to experience significant growth.
Skills and experience
You need to have great communication skills, have customer relationship building skills and be able to work in a team environment.
Some key attributes required are that you
- Have a pleasant phone manner
- Are comfortable with dealing with customers over the telephone
- Have strong computer skills
- Have outstanding communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Have strong organisational and administrative skills
- Work well autonomously as well as in a team
Experience in despatch function within the building industry will be highly preferable but not necessary
