We currently have a vacancy for a Despatch Clerk to work Afternoon Shift (2pm to 10pm) at our Dandenong branch.
This is a hands-on role that will also see you involved with transport and despatch. Your main objective is to maintain the continual flow of the Despatch Office and to co-ordinate inwards freight and our direct deliveries in the most effective and cost-efficient method.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Distribution of paperwork to the shop floor
- Load scheduling
- Data collection
- Stock inventory control
- Data entry and invoicing
- Scheduling delivery runs in line with customer expectations
Ideally, you will possess:
- Computer knowledge with excellent Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Despatch / Warehouse experience
- RF scanning experience
- Experience within the steel industry would be advantageous
- Ability to multitask and work toward deadlines
- Willingness to learn
