Despatch Coordinator - Ingleburn

About the Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Dispatch Coordinator to commence asap, who is looking to join an Australian owned, market leading organisation on a full-time permanent basis based at our new distribution facility in Ingleburn.
About the role:
Reporting to the Logistics Manager you will receive customer orders, plan and allocate the delivery requirements and ensure process and compliance discipline is applied to all despatches to drive data accuracy and customer satisfaction. You will be the liaison between customers, carriers, drivers and yard management whilst maintaining strict compliance to COR responsibilities or load restraint.
You will participate in safety initiatives, support with safety inductions when required, maintain relevant induction and licensing records for drivers and ensure all safety equipment is used as required.
Working hours will be Hours of work: Monday to Friday - 06:00am – 02:00pm or as business requirements & some overtime available.
Holding a valid forklift licence is essential.
Your role will involve:
- Liaise with Customer Service and resolve logistics related customer issues.
- Verify that pick slips are accurately completed by loaders and checkers.
- Validate PODs are completed correctly for each delivery and ensure drivers maintain disciplines in completing delivery documentation or records.
- Deal effectively with daily issues that may arise with customer loads or deliveries.
- Maintain quality data and deliver reports in a timely manner to drive improved performance in the supply chain.
- Maintain truck turnaround time spreadsheet with relevant data.
- SAP reporting and reconciliations
- Transport metric and goods received reporting.
- Induct relevant people in the site Safety rules when required, maintain relevant induction and licencing records for drivers and ensure all Safety equipment is used as required & participation in safety initiatives.
- Involvement in risk reduction processes
About you:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to logically solve problems.
- Active, hands-on approach
- Strong numerical and literacy skills.
- Attention to detail with ability to analyse information to drive improvements.
- Experience using SAP WMS - desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrable experience in developing and maintaining internal and external customer working relationships.
- Ability and willingness to learn new things.
- A cooperative and constructive approach to the workplace
- Acts with integrity and honesty.
- Able to work under pressure.

- Forklift licence - ESSENTIAL
