About the role:
Reporting to our Despatch Manager, you will support with the planning and coordination of packing products from Haars Nursery to customers, ensuring orders are fulfilled and quality standards are maintained.
Day-to-day, you will supervise departmental workflow and undertake planning, and rostering activities to ensure teams are engaged and in place weekly, that despatch processes are being followed and continuous improvements made. You will:
- Thrive on leading by example, training, mentoring and developing your team, helping them to achieve weekly KPIs in more broadly, budgets.
- Ensure despatch activities comply with safety standards, raising and addressing safety issues.
- Communicate regularly with administrative, sales and production teams on delivery issues.
About You
To be considered, you will have gained previous experience within a high volume production manufacturing, despatch, distribution or logistics environment. You must be able to demonstrate your ability to perform in a multi-tasking, dynamic environment whilst maintaining high attention to detail. The following skills and attributes are a must have:
- Strong organisational and administration and IT (MS Office) and rostering skills
- Experience in training, developing and supervising team members.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to regular changes.
- Excellent time management and planning skills and ability to plan the work and then work the plan.
