The Eatons Hill Hotel is currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Functions Sales Executive to join the award winning Conference & Functions team.
Awarded the 2021 & 2022 ‘Best Superior Accommodation’ & 2021 ‘Best Meetings & Events Venue’ at the Queensland Hotels Association Awards for Excellence, Eatons Hill Hotel is looking for an applicant that will bring attention to detail to the coordination of functions across corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, cultural ceremonies and social events.
This position will be the first point of contact for clients and will sell spaces and products including weddings, corporate and social functions across the venue.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Being the first point of contact for functions inquiries providing info regards to spaces and products including weddings, corporate and social functions
- Coordinate with clients ensuring customer needs are serviced within the requirements of the venue functions packages and protocols.
- Converting opportunities into sales and Following up clients enquire to increase conversion rates.
- Complete site inspections across the Eatons Hill Hotel business.
- Creation of functions proposal’s, contracts and invoices.
- Creation of event run sheets, floor plan and additional documents providing detailed information to clients and internal departments
- Communicate with and coordinate third party suppliers.
- Assist the operational team with setups ensuring it is completed as per the client’s request.
- Track feedback and client satisfaction to ensure repeating business.
- Assist with pro-active sales strategies to bring new business
To be successful in this role you will possess the following demonstrated skills and experience:
- Experience within the hotel or hospitality industry, with a minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in the relevant field is desirable
- Exceptional customer service ethic and previous experience with events sales and direct contact with clients.
- Clear understanding of small to large scale hospitality setups.
- Good organisation skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise
- Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism and conflict resolution
- MS proficient – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- A knowledge of the platform ‘’iVvy’ and Eventdraw is desirable although not essential.
- Commitment to excellence with the ability to deliver seamless events where attention to detail is essential.
