Detailer / Draftsperson

TRU-STRUCT STRUCTURAL SOLUTIONS are WA’s leading manufacturers of permanent formwork walling solutions. Located in Bayswater, and with a manufacturing facility in Grass Valley, Tru-struct is a family-owned business that has been operating for over 20 years and has supplied walling solutions on over 400 projects in WA.

We are pleased to offer the role of Detailer to willing applicants. This is a full-time role, which will involve liaising with our Senior Detailer, and reporting to the Operations Manager. The applicant will be based at our Bayswater office.

This role involves:

• Maintaining records of internal and external documentation, drawing issues and revisions.
• Liaising with builders, architects, engineers, installers and other detailers throughout the shop-drawing process
• Using Revit to complete documentation for the design and construction of an array of projects
• Scheduling our Panel system for production, using Microsoft Excel (creating manufacturing documentation)
• Working with the Operations team to address factory requirements

Skills and experience required for the role include:

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (essential)
• Fluency in interpreting Architectural and Structural documentation, and the ability to coordinate consultants drawings
• Problem Solving ability
• Keen eye for detail and attention to accuracy
• Excellent communication skills, including preparedness to resolve issues with clients, and conduct site visits when required
• Competent with Microsoft Excel and familiar with general Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in building industry (essential)
• Experience in Structural drafting/detailing, including concrete or steel detailing (preferred)
• Self-motivation and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work under pressure, good time-management, and able to set and meet deadlines
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Fluent English is essential (verbal and written; does not need to be native)
• Eligibility to work without restrictions in Australia (permanent resident/citizen)
