Development Compliance Officer (Px13/24)

The City of Cockburn is seeking a Building and PlanningDevelopment Compliance Officer for its Development and ComplianceUnit.

The Position

Development Compliance is a dynamic investigation team with apurpose to ensure a safe, enjoyable and compliant Cockburncommunity. You can be assured there is never a dull moment with thewide variety of development and building work going on in thevibrant City of Cockburn.

Being effective in communicating and negotiating are the keyskills you’ll need in this role. You’ll be interpretingand applying legislation, collecting evidence and preparing forprosecutions so previous experience as an investigator could beuseful, but its not essential. Working safely is essential, as isexcellent report writing skills, being a great manager of yourselfand your time plus having a keen attention to detail.

Previous trade skills in town planning, builder, buildingsurveyor or something in a related field or even a keen interest inplanning, building and environment health will all be looked onfavorably.

Planning Compliance Officers or Building Compliance Officerslooking to further their experience and career are encouraged toapply.

Hours: 76 hours per fortnight (fulltime 9-dayfortnight)

Salary: $86,857 - $100,922 per annum, dependenton skills and experience.
