NES Fircroft has partnered with a leading Oil & Gas exploration and production company to recruit a skilled Development Geologist in Brisbane. Joining their Development Department, you'll play a crucial role in subsurface team, focusing on Coal Seam Gas (CSG) reservoir characterization and project delivery.The position will be a 12-month initial contract, working in Brisbane CBD, Monday to Friday. Work from home flexibility is provided.Responsibilities
- Supporting technical studies and project delivery using geoscience expertise.
- Collaborating within the team to characterize CSG reservoirs.
- Assisting in project concept selection and development.
- Generating prognoses for safe and efficient well operations.
- Contributing to technical analyses and recommendations.
- Proven track record in geoscience, including:
- Reservoir characterization and modeling.
- Well planning and delivery.
- Stratigraphic correlations.
- Volumetric estimation.
- Collaborative mindset with multi-disciplinary team experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with Surat Basin geology preferred.
