  • Have demonstrated experience in providing and coordinating advice, assessment and monitoring of construction activity for the provision of infrastructure associated with major developments and projects;
  • Possess excellent project management and organisational skills to manage multiple projects, of varying size and scale;
  • Have a collaborative approach and excellent communication skills, with demonstrated experience liaising with a range of stakeholders;
  • Possess a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, and/or commensurate demonstrated experience in lieu of qualifications

About the job

As Project Development Engineer, you will provide and coordinate advice, assessment and monitoring of construction activity for the provision of all infrastructure in the public realm associated with major development, and major projects, across the City. The types of development and projects are vast – including land division, roads, traffic management, paths, public lighting, stormwater, recycled water, wetlands, landscaping and open space.

This diverse role will see you utilise your project management expertise, as well as your interpersonal and negotiation skills to engage with a range of stakeholders – including developers, government agencies and service authorities, and building strong, collaborative relationships internally across the organisation.

About the Team

Our Engineering Strategy & Assets Portfolio deliver and manage civil infrastructure and transport planning services across our City, as well as delivering capital works programs and managing our vital roads, paths, public lighting and water assets.

This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, and is classified at Level 7, with a salary range of $114,967 – $121,916 + Super + Annual Leave Loading. Professional development and flexible working opportunities are also offered.
