Development Project Engineer - Solar

The Opportunity:

ENGIE ANZ is growing its’ engineering team and is looking for a skilled Development Project Engineer – Solar to grow our development and construction projects. The successful incumbent will deliver solar concept design, specifications and on-site (as required) construction quality review and commissioning support for our solar energy projects. You will also be responsible for providing general Project Engineering support to the Asset Development team.

The role will be accountable to the Engineering Manager and the role can be worked flexibly between home and our new Southbank office- hybrid model. Travel to project sites will be required.

Reasonable requests for part time work will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement solar resource monitoring programs
• Undertake solar resource and energy yield assessments
• Develop solar PV plant concept designs
• Spend time on site to review installation quality and provide commissioning support
• Manage consultants providing other services including due diligence services, geotechnical investigations and resource monitoring.
• Provide expertise and guidance to risk reviews of Development Projects from a technical perspective. 
   

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will bring forward your demonstrated knowledge and experience in solar farm development, design, construction and commissioning. You will have excellent project management skills and have experience with directing and managing engineering consultants.

You will possess effective communication and collaboration skills and can communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
