Our solution includes but is not limited to Site Acquisition, Development Application, Engineering Design, Grid Studies, Connection Application, Procurement Arrangement, International and Domestic logistics, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical installation, HV Switching, SCADA control and full Project Management from project planning to practical completion and handover. The Project Management team manages a portfolio of greenfield utility-scale solar projects and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). About the Role As part of the ACEnergy Development team, one of the responsibilities is coordinating with specialist consultants to support planning applications and facilitating connection application processes.
Primary Objective
As part of the ACEnergy Development team, the role is responsible for delivery of development approvals, including but not limited to conducting internal environmental and planning due diligence assessments and coordinating specialist consultants to support planning applications
The day-to-day activities will involve tasks that contribute to successful project delivery by managing project budgets, monitoring internal/external resources to secure all necessary planning and secondary approvals required for project delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities
Client
- Development of professional relationships at all levels.
- Maximise penetration to create ongoing opportunities.
- Manage communication flow to ensure a clear understanding of project progress.
Stakeholders
- Manage interaction with a wide variety of Government Departments, local, state, and federal to gain relevant approvals.
- Selection of environmental consultants/experts to provide supporting services to specific project needs.
- Manage output and quality of providers.
- Attend community consultation sessions when required.
- Active involvement in relevant industry forums to raise company profile.
Acquisition and Procurement
- Assist with securing options, leases, and purchase agreements (as required)
- Assist with lease agreement negotiations.
- Assist with creation of option extension letters.
Project Design
- Review regulatory design requirements to ensure project drawings packages align with standards.
- Provide feedback to developer on concept plans.
- Consider methods to boost design efficiency.
Reporting
- Weekly Project Reporting.
- Monthly Project Status Reporting.
- Monthly project status as required to client needs.
- Ad hoc as requested.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Proven record of accomplishment of developing utility-scale renewable energy facilities.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, with a strong understanding of utility-scale solar farms and standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facilities.
- Internal and External Stakeholder engagement experience.
- Experience in working in a diverse and multidisciplinary team of project managers, engineers, accountants, procurement, and specialist consultants.
- Creation and management of project management programs and budgets
- Proven track of Construction or Development Management experience
- Experience in Development Approval process through state government and relative councils.
- Experience in project budgeting, revenue creation and expense management.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Adobe Acrobat programs
- Great document control and filing
- Effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
