In what is a challenging market to execute developments, our client is bullish about the Australian property market and has built a healthy pipeline of projects in Victoria and Queensland across a range of sectors including residential greenfield, commercial and industrial. With an integrated model, the business operates with multiple property and construction business units under the one umbrella which service the internal development pipeline as well as external clients.
Role
The roles and responsibilities of this position will include but not be limited to:
- To lead and drive all phases of the Built form lifecycle from the initial project strategy, project metrics, site assessment, planning approvals, design, construction and financial forecasting.
- Project budgeting - design management and buildability advice to develop strategies for project staging
- Appoint and manage various external consultants and contractors to deliver projects including but not limited to external architects, Project Managers, town planners, engineers and economists.
- Coordinate design consultants scope and budgets including review of cost to date and forecast remaining costs for approval
- Lead the tender interview/analysis/value management and contract award process
- Builder Selection - assess tenders, interview, negotiation, award and manage the builder relationship, including assessing a builder’s financial ability to complete the project
Candidate
This exciting opportunity would suit a Development candidate who has had solid exposure and background in project delivery. We are seeking an experienced Development/Project Manager with between 7-10 years experience. Applicants who have had commercial and/or industrial experience will be considered favorably.
