Devops Cloud Engineer

Our Federal Government  Agency seeks to engage aDevOps Cloud Engineerwith strategic operational experience, and Agile framework knowledge.

The Devops Cloud Engineer will have an understanding of Infrastructure as code (IAC),  good knowledge of CICD, .Net, and experience with Azure cloud as well as DevOpsec.

The role’s responsibilities include:

• Working with the development & DevOps teams, also with project and operational teams delivering pipelines across design, build, test, deploy and run.
• Establish and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines, repositories, and artefacts.
• Ensure cloud platforms are current in their toolsets, resilient, secure and automated.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues with the operation of an application
• Assisting with cloud-first deployment pipeline development
• Creating and overseeing processes that manage the delivery pipeline from development through to production.
• Implementing continuous improvements, strategy, and best practice development in the CI/CD environment.

Candidate Capabilties:

Mandatory:

• DevSecOps using Azure DevOps
• Relevant technology certifications across the cloud Infrastructure landscape.
• Worked in a hybrid environment, and design moves from on-premises to cloud platforms.
• Understand & disseminate industry terminology and concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficient in developing pipelines that deploy Infrastructure as a code (IAC)
• Good knowledge of implementing the IAC with CICD (Azure DevOps / Github)
• Extensive experience building and maintaining complex Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Experience with GIT version control and common branching strategies
• Experience developing.Net Core and .Net framework Applications
• Hands-on experience with deploying and maintaining Azure resources including Azure App Service and similar.
• Worked with major Cloud Platforms (e.g. Azure / AWS / Google Cloud)

Desirable:

• Experience with Visio to create technical documentation
• Ability to communicate and consult with a wide variety of stakeholders

Job Details:

• Start ASAP to 30 June 2024 with 12 months extension
• Location: Canberra Office 
• You must be an Australian Citizen &  hold or be able to obtain a NV1 Security Clearance
