The Senior DevOps Engineer role is a key multi-skilled role responsible for ensuring that applications are designed, developed, deployed and maintained in alignment with infrastructure capabilities and operational considerations. It requires collaboration with a large set of stakeholders across Infrastructure, Architecture and Development to ensure applications run smoothly and are scalable in meeting transaction growth. It is a hands-on, multi-skilled role that touches application life-cycle management, architecture, technical design, application development, technical testing and infrastructure competencies. 

Major responsibility areas:

•  35% Provide operations and infrastructure support to the software delivery teams 
• Act as a key liaison between delivery and infrastructure operations teams 
• Build, integrate and maintain tools, applications and infrastructure that support development and testing 
• Provide integration expertise for various software components. 
• Create new tools to support applications monitoring integration and delivery.
• Maintain application configuration management repositories and enhance our configuration management capabilities 
• Actively assist in aligning technical design and software development with the capabilities of our infrastructure 
• Actively contribute to and expand our Continuous Delivery (CD) capabilities
• Increase automation footprint by constantly reviewing existing practices and processes and automating them where practical 
• Actively contribute to the Performance Testing and Operational testing practices in the organization 
• Reliable and stable development and testing platform – i.e. TFS, Bank in a Box (BIAB), deployment tools, environment monitoring etc. 
• Efficient in CI/CD pipeline. 
• Decreasing reliance on manual processes and workflows 
• 35% Support our production deployment and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Maintain and support vNext, TikTok, DCGC and Autoscale capabilities 
• Automate infrastructure and operations team's manual processes
• Help improve our production monitoring capability - for both applications and infrastructure Work with other Operations teams to improve the production infrastructure performance.
• Stable and robust vNext, TikTok, DCGC and Auto scale Improved systems monitoring capabilities 
• Develop tools and automate processes to improve the infrastructure and operations team's work efficiency Drive Continuous Improvement by extending automation across the software delivery, infrastructure and operations practices 
• Help reduce IT delivery and application support costs by extending automation across software delivery, infrastructure and operations 
• Maintain healthy application knowledge capital 
• Ensure DR processes are up to date 
• Research, evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to further improve our software delivery, infrastructure and operations capabilities
• Increased automation across software delivery, infrastructure and operations 
• Delivery schedules and quality are not impacted as a result of application knowledge being out of date 10% Share knowledge and expertise and help uplift the capabilities and skills across various teams 
• Freely share knowledge and expertise of applications, infrastructure and best practices. By doing so uplift individual and team capabilities.
• Recognised by colleagues across software delivery, infrastructure and operations as actively contributing to their development and upskilling.
