With a commitment to innovation and a team of exceptional individuals, they are reshaping the future of finance. Due to ongoing growth, they require a DevOps Engineer.
Role
As primary DevOps Engineer for the firm’s APAC markets you will play a key part in building, deploying, and supporting cutting-edge systems responsible for executing millions of trades on various CeFi and DeFi venues across the globe. In addition to supporting these trading systems you will implement solutions with a focus on security, resilience and that meet operational challenges in this fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve global infrastructure with respect to high performance and reliability requirements.
- Improve and update the security infrastructure of a widely distributed company that operates in a high-risk environment.
- Engage and collaborate with other teams for system design discussions and improving DevOps processes.
- Development of internal tools and automation to accomplish infrastructure team goals.
- Application tuning and troubleshooting; you will keep abreast of changes to trading system features and deployment, providing guidance to developers looking to improve their application performance or reliability.
Requirements:
- An SRE/DevOps Engineer with 5+ years’ experience with Linux systems in a high-performance environment.
- Familiarity with DeFi and cryptocurrencies and/or experience with RPC nodes and APIs at various levels of development and maturity. A strong interest in cryptocurrency and finance in general is desired.
- Cloud management using Terraform, with experience in the AWS environment and ideally Azure.
- Proficiency in Linux engineering and configuration management using Ansible.
- A strong background in container management, deployment, and orchestration. Kubernetes experience is good to have, strong basic docker skills are required.
- Expanding internal deployment of a Prometheus/Grafana stack to improve observability will be an early project.
- A strong baseline understanding of network principals - TCP/IP and host-level networking is expected. Knowledge of networking management and routing in a cloud environment is a plus.
- Ideally, you’ll have experience with low-level performance tuning across physical hardware, cloud instances, and network latency.
- Coding: Extensive Python & BASH is essential. JavaScript/Typescript or Go experience, nice to have. Role involves significant automation and API coding.
- Cybersecurity: Cloud security & IAM policies. SIEM & threat management. Network security & zero-trust principles. Must know how to secure Mac and Linux endpoints. Software supply chain security along with an understanding of vulnerability and secret scanning within CI/CD pipelines.
- Polished Communication and Interpersonal skills along with a can-do attitude.
- Bachelor’s or master’s level degree in computer science, mathematics, or relevant field.
- A history of good tenure in your career history (e.g., 2+ years average).
This role would be suited to an experienced DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer with exposure to Blockchain, DeFi, Web3 concepts and systems or, at least experience within a high-performance trading systems environment.
