SalaryThe Role:
The DevOps specialist role is part of our systems team who works closely with DevOps Engineers, Architects, and developers to provide strategic direction and leadership to improve and implement DevOps practices in the branch. The DevOps specialist has a deep understanding of DevOps practices and principles including the ability to develop solutions and strategies for the Department.
Primary Duties:
- Providing guidance, strategic direction and specialist advice that promotes best practice and matures DevOps capability in the branch.
- Designing and promoting advanced and effective scalable DevOps solutions and processes enhance DevOps maturity across the branch.
- Lead design and developing automation strategies in collaboration with SMEs that align to DevOps best practices.
- Strategic planning for infrastructure, processes and technology adoption ensuring alignment to the Departments automation strategy and technology roadmap.
- Collaborating with architecture SMEs to design and implement DevOps solutions. This includes evaluating tools and technologies that improve efficiency, scalability, security and maintainability of infrastructure and systems.
Location and Contract Term: This role can be based in Canberra, Brisbane, Box Hill or Penrith. 12 month contract starting 1 July 2024 with 3 x 12 month contract extension options pending budget and delegate approval.
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a baseline security clearance.
