About the Role
Nurse Grade 6:
The Clinical Nurse (CN) provides advanced clinical and problem-solving quality care, including expert planning and coordination in clinical management of diabetes and endocrine patients with complex care needs.
The CN provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education, and research.
HP4:
- Apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to the provision of medical nutrition therapy and diabetes self-management education requiring complex decision making with only occasional clinical/professional supervision.
- Adapt routine clinical practice as required based on clinical evidence with minimal supervision and a high degree of independence.
- Assist in the identification, development, implementation and/or review of clinical practices, procedures and protocols in work areas using the principles of evidence based practice under the guidance of senior staff.
- Facilitate evidence-based group education programs.
