Qualifications & experience
- Must have a degree or equivalent qualification in Medical Sonography.
- Registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of ultrasound equipment, techniques and protocols.
- Demonstrate ability to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to manage the daily operations of the imaging service.
- Ensure patient needs are met promptly, efficiently, and professionally by promoting a patient-focused approach.
- Maintain and deliver service standards as determined and varied by the Company.
- Assist and support change management initiatives led by the Line Manager.
- Adhere to safety procedures to maintain a high level of patient care, safety, and instruction.
- Use the Company's RIS or PACS system as needed to maintain effective workflow and documentation.
- Perform Ultrasound examinations and assist Radiologist in procedures at a consistently high level based on training and expertise.
- Follow the Company's Ultrasound policies, procedures, and guidelines, reflective of evidence-based clinical practice and peak professional standards.
