As a Dialysis Nurse, you play a vital role in the lives of patients with kidney disease. You provide expert care, administering dialysis treatments and monitoring patients' condition to ensure their well-being. With your compassion and expertise, you help restore health and improve quality of life for those in need.

Position: Permanent Position as a Dialysis Nurse

As a Dialysis nurse, your responsibilities will include:

These responsibilities highlight the diverse and critical tasks that Dialysis Nurses perform daily to provide optimal care to their patients.

• Administering dialysis treatments to patients with kidney disease.
• Monitoring patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen levels.
• Assessing and documenting patients' conditions before, during, and after dialysis sessions.
• Reviewing and adjusting dialysis prescriptions based on individual patient needs.
• Administering medications as prescribed and monitoring their effects.
• Educating patients and their families on dialysis procedures, lifestyle modifications, and self-care techniques.
• Providing emotional support and counselling to patients and their loved ones.
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Recognizing and responding to any emergency situations that may arise during dialysis treatments.

What we require from you:

• APHRA registration
• CPR
• Clinical Skills and experience relevant to emergency/acute nursing
• Flexibility to work full time across a rotating 7-day roster.
• Complete COVID Vaccinations & 2022 Flu Vaccination, Serology evidence of immunisation status
• Bachelor's Or Masters
• Triage Certificate / ALS
• Haemodialysis training & Certificate (Desirable)
• Current National Police Check & Working with Children's Check
