Our Client is a leading manufacturer of PVC pressure pipes, fittings, profiles and conduits for the building and telecommunications industries. The group has been operating for fifty years and is proudly Australian owned and managed. The company has a national presence with production centered in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire.
Brief
You will be required to set up machines, complete scheduled daily die changes, monitor machine operation and carry out some mechanical repairs, if required. An ability to troubleshoot injection moulding production problems is essential.
The Role
- Remove and set up tooling in the injection moulding factory for production runs
- Carry out mould trials for new products
- Develop and maintain systems and records for job change processes
- Monitor injection moulding processes and quality outcomes and standards
- Troubleshoot injection moulding machine related faults and quality non conformance
- Raise Maintenance Requests and Tool Room Service Requests where necessary to optimise machine performance
- Collaborate and communicate with production supervisors and staff and other departments effectively to resolve production issues
About You
- Five years’ experience in a high volume plastic moulding production environment as a Die Setter
- Experience with associated equipment required for plastic production
- Thorough understanding of QA system requirements and implementation
- Forklift licence and experience using one in a production setting
- General physical fitness to undertake tasks and ability to work afternoon and night shifts when required
- Tertiary qualifications in plastics engineering will be highly regarded
- Commitment to excellent WHS standards and practice
Remuneration
