Diesel Fitter

FIFO from Busso, choose your roster, good culture on site, OEM training & development on Sandvik underground machinery + long term job security.

• 7:7, 2:2 or 2:1 Roster, 12 Hr Shifts

The role:

Pending on your skills and experience you will start within the surface workshop integrating into a well-connected team of 5 on site. Reporting into the leading hand and maintenance foreman on crew you will be responsible for;-

• Undertaking scheduled and preventative maintenance, repairs and fitting parts
• Attending breakdowns, fault finding and diagnostic work, and providing technical support
• Working on mostly Sandvik trucks, boggers and drills + more
• Great team culture on site
• Large workshop with concrete pads and overhead cranes, all under cover and shaded.

The Roster:

Your choice of roster including 2/1, 2/2, 8/6 or 7/7 - 12 hour days including both day and night shift.

• Wednesday or Friday flights into site
• Fly in company time on day shift

The Mine Site:

The site offers direct flights from Busselton to site, which is only a 2 hour journey. The contractor has been on site for 7 years and has a long-term contract with the principal on site offering long term job security.

• En-suite rooms, with AC and good night shift shading
• Extensive range of food options and a well-managed Wet Mess

Your skills and experience

All experience levels are welcome however as a minimum you will be trade qualified in light vehicle or heavy diesel.

• 1-2+ years' experience working civil, road transport, agricultural or mining
• Have an excellent attitude towards work and developing new skills
• Be a team player and enjoy working with likeminded individuals
• Can work autonomously and a willingness to "have a go"
• Posses a safety first attitude
