KT Civil Group are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Fitter to join the Mobile Fleet team at Narrabri Coal Mine. This role will report to the Civil Services Manager. This position is residential in Narrabri and requires you to work a Monday – Friday dayshift only roster, providing grounds for an excellent work-life balance.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced, results-focused and ambitious individual to join us in a role of a Diesel Fitter at the Narrabri Coal Mine. Reporting to the Civil Services Manager, you will have the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, working in a dynamic and challenging environment with a high focus on planned maintenance. The ideal person will be required to participate in all aspects of Fleet Maintenance. Including routine maintenance, corrective repairs and breakdowns.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing Heavy Fleet Maintenance work, as well as breakdown repairs;
Undertaking planned maintenance tasks as instructed;
Project work as required;
Working both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary trade team;
Demonstrating a high standard of professional workmanship;
Planned maintenance activities on assets such as Hitachi, Mack and Cat contributing to continuous improvement opportunities;
Maintaining and improving OH&S and overall operational standards in the workplace;
Mentoring apprentices.
You will have the following skillset and attributes:
- Trade qualified Diesel Fitter;
Mining experience preferred but not essential;
Excellent trouble-shooting & problem solving skills;
Flexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detail;
Good time management skills and able to work well under pressure;
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment;
Good communication skills;
Willingness and ability to learn new processes;
Hold a current Australian Manual Drivers License;
Experience in Excel would be an advantage.
